Feel free to check the past Biden Era archives and follow the editions to come in the Trump Era on Substack, Medium, and LinkedIn, including those on the 2024 Autopsy, Bench-Building, DOGE News, Project 2025 Authoritarianism, Progressive Populism, and more (First Come, First Serve!).
Well, it was inevitable. After a long 4 months, the two megalomaniacs have had enough of each other. The town simply isn’t big enough for the two of them. They have declared an all-out Twitter—excuse me, X—war (although, technically, Trump’s carrying out part of the war on his Truth Social account, so whatever you want to make of that).
The meat cleavers are out. So much for the value of businessmen with big egos in government. Why doesn’t Trump follow his own advice about Ukraine and Russia, and let the “two kids” (or, should I say, the two billionaires) fight it out for a while until somebody separates them?
Speaking of businessmen, Trump continues to make money off his crypto ventures (at least $1 billion as is reported by Forbes), further buying influence in his White House. What’s more? He does so off the backs of working people (like his own voters and supporters, many of whom lost money by buying Trump’s digital assets).
Finally, as a word of thought for Democrats related to the Big Beautiful Blowup, they should be careful to not make Elon Musk a hero because he is feuding with Trump. They may be some small common ground (“a broken clock is right twice a day”), but never forget Musk went along with Trump for some time, doing some of the vilest things to the most vulnerable people. Whether it’s firing federal government employees and civil servants, to depriving children with HIV/AIDS of needed treatments, leaving millions of people all across the globe hungry, destabilizing basic government services, and compromising the privacy of every American citizen, the privacy of which is now lost because of the insecure digital technology used by Musk’s team at DOGE.
Musk may not be our primary opponent now, but he is no hero to us.
See you Sunday! Stay tuned for more. Same bat channel, same bat sh*t programming.
Great job once again, Mike!
